Job Details

Our client is a well- established distributor of design-led tabletop, kitchenware,home accessory and furniture products.

They are currently looking for a dynamic, self motivated Area Sales Manager for their territory covering the North England from Northumberland to Cumbria,Yorkshire, Humberside, Lancashire, Cheshire across to Lincolnshire.

You will be responsible for managing existing and developing new business. Selling to independent retailers, cookshops, departmental stores, garden centres and Interior Designers. You must be able to create new leads to continually grow your area. You should have strong journey planning and territory development skills.

You should have strong presentation and communication skills together with a ‘can-do’ approach. You will be a self- starter able to work on your own initiative and be driven and motivated to achieve your sales targets.

Preference will be given to candidates with a background in field sales gained in the FMCG arena ideally the housewares tabletop, giftware or Interiors with a proven track record of sales success selling to a broad range of retailers.You will be a strong negotiator with good forecasting and analytical skills to ensure that targets are achieved. Whilst being target driven you will have a consultative sales approach.

The successful candidate must live on the territory.
