Based in London our client is a thriving independent drinks brand that has grown from humble beginnings to achieve nationwide distribution in the big UK retailers and a brand that is increasingly recognised by all of us.

NATIONAL ACCOUNT CONTROLLER

We are looking to find a real star. It goes without saying that we hope this is you! To be successful in this search you must be able to demonstrate a proven and consistent track record of achieving profitable sales growth with at least one of the big UK top 4 retailers. Ideally you will have some experience across Sainsbury, Tesco and Waitress and even better still, some multi-channel experience.

What is more important above all else, however, is your attitude and your drive. You must be a leader, a standard bearer, an innovator and highly commercially astute. You will have been steadily promoted throughout your career in recognition of your potential and your ability. We need to you set, drive and deliver the commercial strategy for the brand and to champion the retail customer base within the business. This will include leading a small team.

Hopefully you will understand, and be ready for, the environment of a smaller business, challenging the bigger players in the market and making magic happen with relatively small resources. Hard work, competitive spirit, determination and team work - are all values that the business regards highly. 

Ideal experience:

  • 5 to10 years of account management experience with an FMCG branded business.
  • A proven track record of success in your career and out-performing your peers. 
  • A detailed understanding of the UK retail landscape and direct account handling and P&L responsibility for at least one of the top 4 grocers. 
  • Bags of energy, drive and determination.
  • Great leadership qualities - the ability to set a clear strategy, lead by example and support the development of a young team.
  • Some demonstrable evidence of entrepreneurial approach and / or an ability to win under pressure. 

We have a competitive salary and benefits package on offer but this really will depend on the candidate. We will not be limited by this whilst working to a budget set by the client. 

Salary guide is £60,000-70,000 pa + competitive bonus and benefits package.
