We are looking for new managers to join our business who are ambitious, have a strong operational background ideally from a Catering or Retail industry and are fully UK Mobile. Where necessary we are able to offer relocation support for the right candidate. 
Roadchef Ltd is one of the UK’s leading Motorways Service Area Operators serving over 46 million visitors over 30 locations. We are passionate about operating the best brands, working with the best people and offering our customers the best service. 

Due to growth and site developments across the motorway network we are looking to increase our senior management team to support the business further on a National basis. Our key areas of growth and expansion are along the M5 Corridor/South West and South East regions. 

As Catering Operations Manager you will report directly to the Site Director supporting the financial and operational performance of the site which includes franchise brands such as McDonald’s, Costa, WHSmith, SPAR, Days Inn and our internal catering offers. 

Role Responsibilities:

•    Operational Delivery: exceeding Company operational targets, through ensuring a consistency of operation, product delivery, customer service and approach across all of our brands.

•    Profit Delivery: Working collaboratively with the Site Director to achieve Site Budget or forecasted profit targets. 

•    Customer Focus: Improve existing levels of service and create standards that deliver a quality customer experience every time, whilst managing standards and feedback accordingly.

•    People Management: Day to day management of Unit Managers, leading from the front, driving change and creating a “will do” culture to the business, creating energy and focus for people to achieve outstanding results.

Skills & Experience:

•    Proven experience of delivering operational excellence and managing teams in either multi-unit or multi-site customer facing businesses, ideally within a catering/hospitality/retail industry.

•    Experience of delivering business P&L financial targets.

•    Well organised, excellent with own time management and delegation to management team.

•    Champions working within a structured environment with a keen eye for detail.

•    Team orientated; advocate of leading from the front and motivating, managing and maximising the performance of all team within their units.

•    Previous experience of driving employee engagement through; communication, coaching, mentoring and training.
