Due to the boost in the demand for higher quality food in larger quantities, the ICL Food unit is growing rapidly.  

ICL Food is an integrated, global producer of unique, advanced value-added solutions for the beverage, dairy and meat industries, benefiting from our uniquely broad range of ingredients as well as from our backward integration and advanced technological know-how.

ICL will leverage these capabilities to meet the evolving needs of existing clients and to enter targeted fast-growing food and nutrition markets, including the dynamically changing markets of China, the Far East and the EU. 

For the support of our fast growing Global Food business we are looking for an experienced and ambitious Sales Manager Food Ingredients in UK. 

Sales Manager Food Ingredients - UK

In this role your goal will be to Manage and develop the Dairy and Beverage Segment. Reporting to the national sales manager, the main objective is to develop the technical and commercial offer to the customers while getting support from: R&D, Marketing.

You will be working from your home office.

Main responsibilities

  • Maintain existing and develop new business with current accounts
  • Identify potential customers within the food and beverage industry in order to sell ICL solutions and to build up long-term customer relationship
  • Monitor and analyze the applicable market areas to identify key focus areas
  • Monitor and analyze the activity of competitors and other changes on the market that may affect the company's market position and growth strategy
  • Executes sales strategies and marketing concepts for new products and technologies on customer level in the territory
  • Acquire new business as specified in the target agreements/budgets (sales plan), 
  • Evaluate and stabilize the present status of the local food scheme
  • Regular visits of relevant fairs 
  • Regular visits to customers for ensuring the quality of services approximately 50% of time
  • Negotiation of prices according to internal framework
  • Preparation and finalization of sales contracts
  • Accountable to achieve budget
  • Evaluate performance of customers and drive growth initiatives at defined customers
  • Evaluate performance of customers / Improve KPI at certain customers
  • Manage customer portfolio against KPI and budget.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience in sales of food ingredients 
  • Strong sales knowledge with proven track record.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Food Science, Food Technology or similar.
  • Basic know-how of functionality of food ingredients.
  • Very customer oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written negotiation and communication skills
  • Highly motivated, open to learn
  • A passion for driving results, flexible and customer oriented
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Willingness to travel.
