The group comprises a family of specialist businesses which are able to deliver everything the caterer needs, including their very successful own brand ranges developed specifically by chefs for chefs.
Woodward Foodservice is an extremely successful specialist business within the Brakes Group.
An exciting opportunity has become available for an Area Sales Manager, covering between Inverness and Aberdeen, selling into Independent businesses. The purpose of the role is to maintain and grow profitable Independent sales within a given geographic area and product portfolio.
The key accountabilities and responsibilities of this role are:
  • To achieve and increase Sales turnover and Gross profit
  • To devise and deliver area business plan to maximise growth
  • To devise and deliver a telesales partnership plan, to maximise business growth
  • To develop new accounts
  • To proactively manage customer retention
  • To maintain competitor awareness
  • To contribute to Regional Plan
  • To liaise with Accounts function to minimise credit exposure
  • Maximise selling opportunities by analysis of customer need
Key skills will include:
  • Proven track record of profitable sales delivery
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the market place
  • Relevant experience of foodservice
  • The capacity to interpret, understand and act upon financial data to achieve customer solutions
  • IT literate
  • Full UK driving licence
The Person
The ideal candidate for the this Area Sales Manager opportunity will have experience in selling face to face to retailers, experience within the food industry (although not essential), and be able to manage their time effectively to maximise customer facing time.
The successful candidate will be an excellent ambassador for Woodward, highly adaptable and self motivated. Enthusiasm and a will to succeed is a must!
Integrity and the ability to be a team player are also key attributes for this role.
