Based in the North West with a global offering, this FMCG business is looking to appoint a Marketing Manager to drive continued growth and truly define the USP.  Operating within the FMCG arena, they hold an interesting history and product base, with exciting expansion plans.

As Marketing Manager you will take responsibility across the full marketing mix working closely with agencies and operate as part of a wider and close knit marketing team with a number of direct reports.  Whilst the role is broad, there is a leaning towards marketing communications, brand positioning and identifying the consumer. Responsibilities include:

  • Taking the lead in positioning the brand and delivering what that means in the UK market
  • Long term planning and overall campaign management
  • Budget management
  • Planning and executing the marketing communications strategy
  • Managing (briefing/recruiting) agency partners – PR, creative, media advertising, research – reviewing retained agencies on an annual basis
  • Managing NPD & reformulation launches including liaison with internal contacts, campaign development, execution and post-campaign analysis
  • Implement marketing campaigns for responsible product sectors including the creation of all online and offline materials (direct mailers, website banners, coupon leaflets etc.)
  • Team leadership and development

Successful candidates will already be operating in a braded FMCG environment in a full mix marketing management position, and will be creative as well as commercially minded.  You will be passionate, with ambition to make an impact and grow with the business. You will also:

  • Operate within FMCG (essential)
  • Have demonstrable success of brand development through strong marketing communications
  • Hold strong communication skills, able to communicate effectively at all business levels
  • Hold strong influencing skills, able to influence stakeholders across the business both I the UK and globally
  • Have the ability to manage multiple tasks/ projects working to deadlines
  • Be able to put together strong ‘sales tools’ supporting the sales team
