Job Details

My client is a successful and continually expanding family-run business supplying high quality foods into restaurants, bistros, high end garden centres, village cafes etc. This is a great opportunity as the company looks to expand, particularly as this position emerged through growth.

As Head of Sales and a key member of the management team the successful candidate will be responsible for the core sales functions of the business. Working closely across departments you will drive sales performance with innovation and delivery. Managing supplier relationships and commercials across products ensuring the business receives optimum terms and revenue streams.

Having direct reports you will use management skills and enthusiasm to motivate the teams as well as maintaining the great values of the business.

Features of the role: high end garden centres, restaurants, bistros, village cafes 

  • Recruiting
  • Training internal sales staff
  • Allocating areas to sales reps
  • Developing sales strategies and setting sales targets
  • Monitoring the team’s performance and motivating them to reach targets
  • Providing feedback and coaching to team members
  • Compiling and analysing sales figures
  • Collecting customer feedback and market research
  • Managing supplier relationships and commercials
  • Working closely with MD on high level buying groups
  • Attending networking and trade events
  • Influence on pricing and operational functions

The candidate:

  • Strong sales experience (internal is suitable)
  • Man management experience
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Excel 
  • Strong drive, commitment and passion
  • Professional and hardworking

What’s On Offer:

£30,000 - £35,000 negotiable based on experience + package
