National Account Manager - 12mth Maternity Cover

Our client is a leading supplier to Tesco and is at the forefront of their category with innovative food products within the Food-to-Go sector.

Working in this 12mth maternity cover position, you will own the business relationship with the customer to maximise customer sales & profit. You will be responsible for developing and guiding the implementation of the account specific joint business plan, achieving account profitability and sales targets whilst providing account leadership throughout the business unit. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop account strategies in accordance with overall channel strategy and deliver joint business plans. You will conduct regular reviews of business performance and promotion strategies whilst partnering with category management to develop new category opportunities.

The successful candidate will have the following criteria:-

• Solid national account management experience with some Tesco & chilled food experience
• Experience of forecasts, budgeting and costings
• Evidence of devising and executing a JBP
• Customer relationship management through selling and negotiation
• Ability to effectively monitor category performance versus plan and communicate accordingly
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking skills and problem solving skills
• Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Degree educated
• Must be comfortable with working in the East Midlands on a daily basis
