The Organisation

Mackenzie Jones is working exclusively with a growing, ambitious FMCG food company in the search for an experienced Business Manager. The company produces high quality products across a number of categories with a range that includes licensed, branded and own label goods. A successful, privately owned business, their products are in every major grocery retailer in the UK, and they boast a strong, growing export business too. This is a dynamic, fast-paced business that needs enthusiastic, ambitious individuals to support them on their journey of continued growth.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Business Manager will be responsible for delivering increased sales and margin growth within the company’s most established category across both existing accounts and new customers. With full P&L ownership, your key objective will be to ensure that the company’s core range is listed within existing customers by the end of June 2017, whilst also securing listings with new customers outside of traditional grocery channels. You’ll work closely with the NPD team to drive NPD activity ensuring all initiatives are delivered on time, and you’ll work closely with customers to deliver promotional activity, business planning and supplier agreements. Core to the success of your role will be the continued delivery of strong customer partnerships, a high level of customer service and a consistent, timely customer contact strategy.

The Candidate

We’re looking for an experienced FMCG sales/commercial professional who can demonstrate a strong track record in the delivery of growth within existing accounts, along with experience in securing listings with new customers. You’ll be highly numerate and computer literate, with experience of managing a P&L, and you’ll need to display enthusiasm, a passion for food, resilience and a ‘can do’ attitude to do well here.
