An excellent opportunity for a passionate Senior level Commercial Manager to join a truly global FMCG leader, with an outstanding portfolio of high profile consumer drinks brands. This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the world’s most famous luxury drinks organisations.

Job description As Senior Commercial Manager this individual is responsible for delivering a national P&L of over 400 MRG operators & Independents and being a strategic lead in maximising national share performance, specifically for three prolific categories. Personal responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the joint business plan investment and activity plans for the largest regional multiple retail group
  • Playing a key role in Regional/National on trade wholesale customer relationships
  • Resourcing and capability build for a team of direct reports
  • Creating and delivering a robust coverage strategy that reflects the individual trends of the region
  • Being part of the On Trade and Field Sales leadership teams there will be the ability to influence at senior levels to deliver business outcomes

They will manage a large team that will be targeted on delivering growth in all three categories and tripling  innovation nationally. The performance of this team directly impacts on the on-trade P&L. Through effective management of the team the Senior Commercial Manager will create the platform for future growth in the On Trade through reading market trends and coordinating a large number of Desired Skills and Experience

You will have extensive commercial experience gained from within the FMCG sector, specifically drinks businesses as a sound knowledge of the On-Trade channel is required. You will have worked in  Account Management roles, with demonstrable experience of success, specifically with negotiating commercial terms for large accounts, devising activity plans, making investment decisions and maximising our ROI. Having worked at a senior level, you will be a string negotiator and able to influence both internally and externally. People management and coaching skills are essential for success in this role and therefore you will have experience of managing teams, ideally large in nature. Therefore, this role requires a real self-starter who is able to manage their own workload and deliver through others. Experience of working in a matrixed organisation is essential
