This is a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Trade to join this successful and growing business. You will be responsible for the continued development and growth of Trade accounts both at National and Regional Account Level.

Description

The role of the Head of Trade will be to work closely with the Service leadership team in order to develop and improve the levels of new business won and to continue to develop the extensive portfolio of existing accounts.

You will also be responsible for:
  • Pitching and leading bids for large scale, multi million pound accounts
  • Planning and implementation of comprehensive sales plans for the UK sales teams of National Account Managers and Field Sales Teams
  • Optimise sales performance through ongoing motivation, training, coaching and support to the sales team
  • Work closely with Marketing team to implement pricing, promotion, product launches etc.
  • Provide market and competitor information to Commercial Director
  • Build and lead the sales organization to fit the demands of the growing market market.
  • Lead sales team to achieve sales & profit targets assigned. Be responsible for constantly developing the quality and skills of your team


Profile

The ideal National Sales Manager will:
  • Have a proven track record in driving and leading an established sales team
  • Strong relationship building skills, able to influence at senior levels both externally and internally whilst maintaining a professional approach
  • Knowledge of building products such as sealant and adhesives is a benefit but not a necessity
  • Demonstrate strong people management capability
  • Excellent negotiating skills with strong business sense
  • Have managed both National Field Sales Teams as well as National Account Manager Teams
  • Proactively create and respond to new strategies and requirements within the team
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving/decision making skills with the ability to make effective decisions
