The role:
As a category manager, you will sit within a world class Commercial team, and report into the team leader (category director). We are looking for someone who can take a hands on approach with customers (Sainsbury OR Tesco), developing the relationship from a category thought leadership perspective.

You are responsible to deliver compelling insights to drive Category growth through deep understanding of shoppers, consumers & customers. The team is undergoing a transitional phase in their approach to Category leadership and with an exciting NPD pipeline. Therefore plenty of opportunity to work with new and innovative products.


Successful Candidates will

* Be the Category Champion and drive the Category agenda across the business
* Develop a winning POP vision and plan
* Work with customers to create joint category place for brand label growth
* Providing category insight to influence current and future direction
* Delivering the category fundamentals around space & merchandising targets
* Proactively managing strategic category partnerships

Category management in the FMCG sector is very important for this role.
