Greencore produces around 400 million sandwiches each year and supplies food to go products to the majority of the UK's retailers.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Manager (Divisional) to effectively manage the Divisional S&OP process to ensure the network is optimised and can meet the service level targets at the lowest cost.

This role covers 6 manufacturing units from London to Liverpool. The units are based in Bow (London), Park Royal (London), Spalding, Manton Wood (Worksop), Northampton and Crosby (Liverpool).

The successful candidate will be based at either Manton Wood, Worksop or Northampton.

This is a challenging and varied role responsible for the following:

Key Accountability's
  • Working cross functionally to develop and implement best practice S&OP process and business planning over short, medium and long term horizons
  • Develop and implement a Divisional capacity planning model
  • Work closely with each production facility to ensure the S&Op and Capacity Planning models reflect reality and are fully up to date
  • Identify any constraints and opportunities within the supply chain and ensure the appropriate action is in place to optimise the network or manage risks and pinch points
  • Work closely with the Commercial and NPD teams to ensure that all plans incorporate current and future customer and business requirements
  • Manage key supply chain projects across the Division as they are agreed
  • Provide supply chain expertise across the Division as required
  • To review the logistics operation and related contracts to identify and realise opportunities
  • Develop a supply chain training programme which can be rolled out to the Division
  • To effectively manage and develop the Divisional supply chain team
  • To identify and implement continuous improvements across the supply chain
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with customer supply chain functions
  • Ensure key events (Christmas, product launches, promotions etc) are effectively manged and meet business targets
  • Develop a Divisional supply chain scorecard
  • Ensure systems and technology are fit for purpose highlighting development requirements to IT
  • Support development of a Divisional supply chain strategy


Skills & Experience
  • Experience of working within supply chain in a fast paced FMCG environment
  • Broad experience in all supply chain functions
    (forecasting, production planning and scheduling, SOP, inventory management, warehousing, distribution planning, distribution operations, 3PL management)
  • Experience of managing and developing a team
  • Experience of dealing directly with leading retail chains
  • High degree of computer literacy and developing analytical models
  • Knowledge of MRP/Planning systems
