Business Development Manager

The Role

We have a great opportunity for a proven Business Development Manager to join an established food ingredients manufacturer based in the East Midlands. They have a fantastic reputation in their sector and are now looking to expand their commercial team. The role will be new business focussed; field based and will be responsible for developing national clients within the savoury foods, ready meals and meat sectors on a consistent basis.

Key Responsibilities

•    Sales role developing and sourcing new and existing opportunities from B2B, Retail and Foodservice for the business
•    Partake fully in creating presentations and presenting products to customers.
•     Establishing strong relationships with customers and being their primary point of contact.

Candidate Requirements

•    Previous field sales experience within the food and drink sector is a necessity, preferably in ingredients
•    Proven new business hunter background
•    Competent in product presentations, creative in thinking and execution
•    Comfortable using Microsoft software packages
•    Self motivated, energetic and solution orientated
•    UK Driving Licence with the ability to travel nationally
•    Results orientated, while also being a team player

The Package

•    £45,000 - £50,000 Basic salary
•    Bonus dependant upon sales& profit performance of 10%.
•    £500 car allowance 
•    25 days of holiday plus bank holidays
