£30,000 - £35,000 + Car + Bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen with one of the UK’s pioneers of craft brewing. Having been in the industry for a number of decades they have a fantastic core range of premium ales. This is enhanced by an extended portfolio of excellent beers available in keg, cask, canned and bottled formats. Their products have won numerous awards from the likes of CAMRA and the World Beer Awards and are well distributed not only across the UK but internationally as well. Due to the impressive growth they are experiencing they now require a Business Development Manager to increase the profile of their brands in the North of England.

As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for a territory along the M62 corridor that will include Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds. Your focus will be to prospect for new business within the On Trade channel whilst also managing a portfolio of existing accounts. The main aim will be to secure new listings as well as increase the volume and profitability of your designated area. There will also be an opportunity to work with key distribution partners to drive business via their sales teams and attend key trade events, customer tastings and craft beer festivals.

To be considered for this fantastic position ideally you will have 1 to 2 years’ experience selling into the On-Trade channel. A knowledge and passion for craft beer and relevant beer academy or WSET qualifications would also be advantageous. Candidates who have a strong branded FMCG sales background from other channels of business will also be considered. It is essential that you are commercially astute and have the ability to build strong customer relations. A hunger to succeed and the tenacity to perform in a competitive marketplace is also a must.
