Catman Jobs are recruiting a Category Manager for am FMCG business based in London.

The Business

This internationally recognised brand operates within a diverse and growing market across a popular FMCG category. Through staying one step ahead of market trends and complete dedication to their customer base they maintain a dominant presence across all retail channels.

The Role

The business now seeks an exceptional Category Manager to take them forward with specific emphasis within their top 4 grocery channel. Working cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, sales and insight along with external data sources such as Nielsen and Kantar you will deliver strategic category vision plans to the retailer. As Category Manager you will take on ownership of range, space, recommendation of promotional mechanics and the strategic future of the category. 

The Individual

You will have experience in a fast moving consumer focused category management and be comfortable with the majority of usual data sources such as Nielsen, Kantar, IRI etc. An understanding of the Customer – Shopper – Consumer dynamic will be essential. You must have category or sales experience in the top 4, convenience or discounter channel to have the necessary complexity within your understanding to deliver to the customer.
