The Business

A near £2bn food group in the UK with a presence across numerous categories in the food retail space. Run as separate business units, they benefit from the 'big business backing' of an expanding food group but all retain the small team entrepreneurial spirit of flexibility, influence and an ability to make an impact. They have grown YOY through a mix of organic and acquisitive activity but also through developing retailer relationships forged through service level, category support and creative new product development solutions.

The Role

The team are looking to add new resource to a growing division who will take on responsibility for working cross functionally to develop innovative new product solutions and marketing strategy targeted at a discerning consumer demographic. Working closely with the commercial controller and NPD manager you will develop and execute a marketing strategy which will have a focus on building on their already impressive market share and brand perception. The role will manage a team of 5 and will require the gravitas and leadership skills to offer the necessary support and development.

The Person

Your eclectic mix of skills which may include brand, product management, own label development, insight and consumer/category marketing will together ensure you will deliver a strong long term development plan for the product range and customer base. You will be a self-starter with an ability to work cross functionally, interface externally with customers and be able to deliver creative ideas based on robust market insight.
