Role Purpose Statement
To provide strategic analysis, insight & make recommendations on the commercial element of all Sales Campaign initiatives, in order to drive their performance. The analysis includes understanding what drives the actual weekly and monthly results compared to forecast/budget, and utilising the information when signing off activity, along with making broader recommendations & guidance to managers & directors.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Sign off all campaign commercials ensuring deals are relevant to the customer & cash positive for the business. This will include deals executed via:
- Monthly printed promotions
- Telesales
- Field sales
- Direct to customer activity
- Online
- Monitor & analyse all promotional results on a weekly & monthly basis, looking at ways to improve effectiveness & exceed all key metrics.
- Interpreting the numbers in order to provide insight into the campaigns at an individual & total level, making changes to our initiatives based on findings
- Work with the Reporting Analyst to develop models that enable ability to provide insight against key metrics
- Liaise with managers to rigorously challenge and question their plan assumptions and KPIs on an on-going basis
- Production of a weekly & monthly overview on performance
- A central point of contact for internal customers for commercial finance related queries
- Ad hoc analysis/guidance to improve performance to drive sales and margin
- Supporting the development of sales incentive schemes
- Ability to interpret & understand trends and results, making recommendations & executing plans based on them
- High level of competency in financial analysis and modeling
- Ability to present the results of analysis in a clear and concise way to non-commercial colleagues
- Ability to influence others at all levels of the business
- Ability to work cross functionally
- Established history of adding value and challenging the status quo
- Demonstrates passion, drive and determination to succeed and continuously improve in spite of setbacks
- Ability to act on own initiative and be able to persuade senior management of the value and logic of business proposals

- Evolution of campaigns based on insight & analysis
- Improvement in weekly progress communications to key stakeholders
- Positive feedback from key stakeholders within the business
Essential:
- Experience working in a commercial environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to interpret numbers & make recommendations
- Ability to understand cause & effect enabling development of strong commercial campaigns
- High levels of commercial awareness
- High level of competency in financial analysis & modeling
- A drive to grow sales & exceed targets
- Experience of working in a cross functional team
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- High attention to detail
- Advanced Excel & Powerpoint skills
- Newly qualified in CIMA, ACCA, ACA
- Broad system knowledge, ideally SAP, Multiple ERP systems
