Job Title: Head of Market, Strategy and Planning
Salary: Negotiable (dependant on experience)
Location: Cambridgeshire

A gap has arisen for a Head of Market, Strategy and Planning within a well-known organisation that has always been at the forefront of multiple categories. The core focus of this role is to create and communicate a clear sales strategy that defines where to play and how to win customers, providing clear insight into the market place, customers and categories as well as industry and regulatory trends. The utilisation of this information will set the direction of the sales team and develop the necessary strategy for business success.

Key Accountabilities:

* Key contributor to the Commercial leadership team, providing expertise in the areas of market, strategy and planning, ensuring the function operates as cohesively and efficiently as possible
* Lead, develop and motivate the Market, Strategy & Planning team, ensuring they are engaged and equipped with the skills, knowledge and guidance to deliver their objectives
* Lead the collation and analysis of market trend and customer data to identify growth trends and potential customer targets in order to inform strategy and provide a reactive response to market changes
* Create develop and implement the customer account planning process to ensure the adoption of a targeted approach to sales
* Co-ordinate the forward forecast position working collaboratively with Product Availability and Finance to ensure complete alignment on our position
* Manage the provision of trend and performance data in line with the monthly, quarterly and annual cycles

Criteria:

*Extensive experience within the FMCG sector across various functional areas and categories holding senior category/insight roles
*Proven success in setting strategic direction and driving forward the delivery
*Experience in the use of Nielsen/TNS/IRI date warehouses
*Results focussed character who has a passion for excellence
*Experience in presenting complex information to varied audiences
*Graduate level intellectual ability
