What the job entails.
As the successful National Account Manager you will be responsible for the joint customer business planning, incorporating promotional plan, listing & distribution of NPD, securing shelf space in line with market share and/or category objectives. You will manage the a variety of accounts within their impulse business unit, including Travel Retail and High Street accounts, whilst developing and maintaining effective customer relationships at all levels. You will also be expected to pro-actively track performance of your accounts understanding the key drivers of the performance and working closely with your Controller and the cross functional team to implement corrective action to deliver against the P&L target and strategic plan.
This is a very autonomous role which provides the opportunity to develop your career across various accounts and brands, with genuine progression on offer.
The successful National Account Manager will have:
• Current experience in one of the following roles: Customer Business Manager, National Account Manager, Customer Account Manager, Senior National Account Manager, Business Operations Manager, Commercial Channel Manager, Commercial Strategy Manager or equivalent.
• Experience within a Branded/Blue Chip FMCG organisation in a National Account Management role with either experience within, Grocery, Impulse, Convenience or Discounters.
• A tenacious and entrepreneurial approach in the role is key to building and sustaining new long term relationships.
• Financial numeracy to be able to build strategically sound, financially robust proposals that exploit opportunities.
• Good understanding and insight into Category Management principles
• Preferably be degree educated or equivalent
