Account Development Manager 

Working with some of the brightest minds in the industry, this premium, iconic, global drinks company is opening its doors to a driven individual to spearhead their brand development as Account Development Manager.

We are looking for an Account Development Manager to join the team in one of their regional locations.

The role entails liaising with the key accounts in the specified territory and, using your knowledge of the drinks industry within the area, creating new business that reflects a particular premium brand.

Working as part of a regional team you will be responsible for reporting on your accounts and your territory as well as contributing to a model of best practice that can be utilised throughout the company.

At present we are looking to find individuals within the London, Coventry and Northampton areas.

A premium drinks organisation with a strong presence within the FMCG industry.

With a portfolio encompassing some of the biggest premium brands within the alcohol market, they remain focussed on increasing client and customer enthusiasm and desire for the products. 

The company have grown significantly, having seen a 17% growth year on year, providing excellent opportunity to grow throughout the business. 

The Person

We are looking for someone who can deliver increased distribution of the brand across their region by developing key relationships within wholesalers, leased/tenanted and regional brewer customers.

Do you have?

  • Experience working for a major FMCG company or drinks specific company.
  • A strong background of hitting/exceeding targets.
  • Understanding of a premium brand and what this entails from a sales perspective.
  • Must understand the importance of working in a team and building strong/ trusting relationships with colleagues.

  • Someone who connects with people with ease and who understands the importance of growing and maintaining strong client relationships which will lead them to having a long lasting and strong portfolio.
  • Someone who understands the product and can pitch to a client with clarity and confidence.
  • Someone who goes out of their way to make a deal successful.
  • Someone with a strong personality and the drive to succeed.
  • Must be able to work well independently and organise their time efficiently to get the best outcome.

Working with this iconic global brand, the key responsibilities are:

  • Take ownership of their territory by identifying opportunity for brand development within strategically important regional accounts
  • Create commercial joint business plans with key customers and groups
  • Target key accounts to further develop the brand portfolio 
  • Retain key accounts by building key and significant relationships
  • Create and implement activity plan for key Route to Market customers
  • Responsible for managing installations/draught process/wholesaler and leased tenanted quality programme
  • Sell in and authorise draught installs in line with premium brand quality
  • Manage the budget spend through account Trade Investment to ensure cost effectiveness 
  • Work with the marketing, brand and sales team and share best practice with the RTM’s 
  • Assist with training and development of the sales team and be an ambassador for the brand at all times
