Account Manager

Our Client, listed in 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2015, is looking for an Account Manager to join their growing, fast-paced Food Manufacturing Business based in Nottinghamshire.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the successful candidate will work with existing and new customers to provide high quality products and service, whilst driving sales and profitability for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day to day management of customer accounts, first point of contact for new and existing customers
• Work proactively with NPD team and customers to deliver new commercially viable products and NPD briefs based on market understanding
• Deliver NPD presentations to new and existing customers
• Work as part of the Sales Team to understand both food service and food manufacturing customer needs, delivering an Annual Business Plan against Budget
• Proficient in building product costings, preparing and managing tenders and project managing products from concept through to launch
• Work alongside all other business departments to ensure complete customer satisfaction across all areas

Experience, Skills & Knowledge:

• Good experience in a Commercial or NPD position in food manufacturing / food industry
• Educated to degree level or similar, in a Food/Marketing/Commercial discipline or with relevant experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Ability to understand customer requirements and tailor a commercial solution
• Numerate, ideally with experience of costing and forecasting sales
• Proficient in the use of MS Office including Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook

The successful candidate could be an Account or NPD Exec with relevant commercial experience within the food industry or could be someone who is looking for a sideways move into a company that has strong future progression opportunities. You will need to be:

This role is office based in Nottinghamshire, however there will be some travel within the UK. The role attracts a salary of £25k-£30k per annum + Car.
