Interim Category Manager - Health & Beauty

Great opportunity for a Health and Beauty Retail Category Manager, initially on a 6 month FTC basis. Home based.

Your new company
One of the UK's leading retailing organisations, with an international footprint and a reputation for innovation and diversity, require a commercially astute, customer focused retail category management specialist to manage and execute the category strategy for their European retail business, initially on a 6 month contract basis. The job holder will be home based with some travel in the UK and Europe

Your new role
You will be required to develop the customer proposition for the non food category, which is predominantly driven by health and beauty products. This will involve deciding the category strategy and plans within the framework of the overall format guidelines, negotiating with 3rd parties, suppliers and franchise partners. You will also be accountable for ranging decisions, making sure the right products are in the right stores both domestically and internationally, with input in to marketing, promotions and the overall convenience strategy

What you'll need to succeed
Applicants will need to have experience of Buying and Category Management within a Health and Beauty retailing environment, with a proven track record of success negotiating with branded suppliers. You should be highly customer focused, with excellent leadership skills and the ability to influence at all levels both internally and externally.
