My exclusive and retained client, now have an excellent opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager Scotland & Ireland to join their team. The role will require travel throughout the Scotland and Ireland territory in order to successfully secure new business whilst managing and further developing the companies current client base which is a mixture of distributors and end users such as hotels, restaurants, catering companies and canteens etc.

Description

As a key member of the functional commercial team, the Regional Sales Manager Scotland & Ireland will be able to utilise their understanding of the market and of their commercial network and relationships to create new account leads and ultimately work to secure those accounts.

You will be able to work autonomously and will also be responsible for identifying and exploring the opportunity to develop new business with existing accounts within the region. In partnership with the wider internal teams and business, you will deliver a pro-active account management service across existing accounts; conducting regular account meetings and reporting on the performance of key accounts, promoting and delivering full range of services to accounts and ensuring KPI's are exceeded.

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving set targets whilst increasing the companies profile throughout Scotland and Ireland. Through an excellent work ethic and strong personal performance, the RSM will ensure that short, medium and long term growth aims are achieved.

Profile

The successful Regional Sales Manager Scotland & Ireland will have the following demonstrable skills:
  • Proven track record in business development of new business and existing accounts within a B2B field environment, ideally having sold a type of capital equipment.
  • Experience of selling through distributors and direct to end users.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships with confidence in presenting both internally and externally at all levels.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Analytic thinking with the ability to understand and interpret complex data.
  • Creative thinker and a proactive approach with ability to translate into deliverables and outcomes.
  • Project management skills to manage different approaches and actions with a strong performance drive for success.
  • A motivated, professional and enthusiastic approach to business development and account management is a prerequisite.
  • Full UK driving licence with experience of managing a large geographical area.
  • Ideally based in the Central Belt of Scotland.
