The Chancellor Tobacco Company (UK) LTD is looking for skilled Area Sales Representatives with 2 years tobacco sales experience to launch our brands into retail outlets in the following areas: London x 2, Birmingham, Leeds & Bradford, Sheffield & Wakefield, Liverpool & Manchester, Glasgow & Edinburgh.

Reporting to the Sales Manager the Area Sales Representative Duties will include:

  • Service accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organising daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets.
  • Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential retailers.
  • Use CRM systems for daily sales activities and keeping customer records.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing & products.
  • Support new product introduction.
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitor developments.
  • Resolve customer complaints.
  • Provide historical data by maintaining records on area and customers
  • Contributes to team effort
  • Assist in the avoidance of bad debt.

  • Customer Service, Meeting Sales targets, Closing Skills, Territory Management, Prospecting Skills, Negotiation, Self-Confidence, Presentation Skills, and Client Relationships.

Experience Required:

  • Must have Tobacco Sales Experience.
  • Be competent in using CRM systems.
  • Competent use of Microsoft office, Word, Excel
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Be experienced in meeting deadlines.

Salary £22,000-26,000 per annum DOE + company car + fuel card + mobile phone + IPad + 28 days holidays (total including bank holidays).

All successful candidates must hold must hold a full, clean UK driving licence and reside in the area they are applying for.
