To support our expanding business we are currently looking for an experienced:  

Category Manager (m/f)

As a Category Manager with the Active Nutrition International Group, you will be tasked with providing customer & category insight of the exciting and highly popular sports nutrition category.

You will support the commercialisation of the PowerBar and Dymatize brand portfolio, with focus on creating a winning strategy to grow the brands in the Convenience, Forecourt and Grocery Channels.

You will play an important role within the UK Team working closely with the Country Manager and enabling the National Account Managers to execute the plan with excellence.

This role will allow you to work autonomously and you will be able to leave your footprint without the challenges of multiple hierarchy layers. 

You will face these exciting tasks: 

  • Support the Country Manager with the long and short term business planning, shape sales strategies and tactics
  • Equip the Sales Team with leading insight and develop compelling category propositions to enable profitable sales growth.
  • Identify and define the category and opportunity, with clear rationale on how to deliver Shopper, Consumer and Trade objectives across range, merchandising, promotion, and retail activation.
  • Research and create compelling concepts to drive category, customer and brand growth.
  • Refine our own product range, promotional mix, through a systematic category management approach.

You’ll persuade us with: 

  • Successful experience in category management working with Grocery and Convenience Customers.
  • Delivered profitable results developing and implementing a category strategy into trade. 
  • A high degree of numeric and data literacy, with the ability to present and implement proposals with strategic customers.
  • Analytical and creative thinking, to combine learning from data, trends and events to generate compelling category-led propositions.
  • Your enthusiasm for sports, fitness, healthy lifestyles, the sports nutrition category.
