You will be an experienced, enthusiastic sales professional ideally with a background of developing new business in a competitive and fast moving business to business environment.

You will be confident with handling client accounts as well as developing new customer relationships.

You will have time management experience ideally within a sales environment and the ability to plan and execute customer development strategies, to include effect planning of customer visits & presentations.

The ability to win new business and further develop the potential is essential. 

Working in a fast moving events and exhibition environment, the role requires the ability to win & develop new clients on a consistent basis.

A start up role beginning from scratch will challenge your business development and organisational skills. 

Whilst the role is field-based and involves client meetings in the Midland / North of the country, the candidate must be within reasonable commutable distance of our sales office in Shropshire and will be expected to be in the office at least one day per week. 

Whilst the candidate will ideally have existing new business development experience, the company already has a significant pipeline of sales prospects, which the successful candidate will be expected to convert and build relationships with.

You will be comfortable discussing all aspects pricing, product quality and delivery possibilities with clients and maintaining a flexible approach to tailor make solutions for individual clients.

About you

  • Previous commercial experience within Event & Exhibitions industry ideal but not essential
  • A working knowledge of flooring & decorative products ideal but not essential
  • Proven experience of new business development within a sales environment
  • Good negotiating, influencing and communication skills
  • Creative in overcoming objections and problem solving
  • Confident in making presentations and producing written reports & maintaining a CRM database
  • Quality focused and commercially minded
  • Work on own initiative, is flexible, positive and confident
  • IT literate - proficient with Word, Excel, Power Point and ideally ACT!.
  • Possess a clean and valid UK Full driving licence
