Graduate Role | Commercial & Procurement | Food

We are working for a large retail focused fresh produce supplier looking to recruit their future talent. The business grows, packs and distributes for a variety of customers both private and public in the UK market. This a traditional farming business that has moved with the times and grows to keep up with
modern tastes.

The Role

This role will give the opportunity for a candidate that wants to develop a broad set of skills in the food environment.
As part of this role there will be responsibilities in procurement across packaging and produce, this could involve communicating orders or ad hoc negotiation with suppliers.
Opportunities within the Commercial team, confirming supplier logistics or assisting in account management.

The Candidate

Essential skills necessary for this role are less important than attitude.
You will need a full, valid UK driving licence.
Good computer skills including excel.
A minimum of degree level education.
Apart from those requirements candidates must be ready for an intense role that will be challenging but give the opportunity to develop quickly and take on real responsibility.
You must have a passion for food, this is incredibly important to a business that holds products at its core.
You must be self motivated and dedicated. Hours of work should not be a concern for you as you will understand the produce industry has peaks.
