Job Details

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing branded FMCG Consumer goods business that has seen some significant investment over the course of the last 18 months. Willing to give all the training and development that you need to succeed, they are now looking to appoint a National Account Executive or to join their team and take ownership of several of their smaller accounts.

Reporting to the Head of Sales and looking after your own accounts across some recognised retailers, you will take full responsibility for those accounts from the start of your career here. Your account base has a real opportunity to grow. You will have the chance to learn on the job while finding untapped opportunities. You may be a National Account Executive looking for further training and development or you may be a Category Analyst or Trade Marketing individual looking to move your career into sales. Your attitude and aptitude for selling are the key criteria.

The Role:                                                                                                                                    

  • Manage your customer relationships cross functionally and support the sales team internally.
  • Ensure that annual budgets, spend, customer business and promotional plans are managed and delivered in line with customer expectations.
  • Deliver monthly sales targets and KPI’s – Sales, Market Share and Distribution.
  • Attend regular customer meetings.
  • Manage and grow distribution.
  • Launch NPD.
  • Support Above the Line Marketing activity to drive sales.
  • Deliver the annual promotional plan.
  • Work with the category team to build relationships and present on the data.
  • Deliver monthly forecasts.

The Requirements:

  • Ideally a background as a National Account Executive, Category Analyst or Trade Marketing Executive level within a branded FMCG environment and a desire to move into sales.
  • Educated to degree level or the equivalent.
  • A desire to learn and succeed.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills.
  • The ability to present and communicate information.
  • Able to deliver results and meet customer expectations.
  • An entrepreneurial flair and able to think commercially.
  • Strong relationship builder and able to work cross functionally with people.
