The Role
As the successful Category Manager you will be expected to lead the vision for Tesco and the Waitrose business. As part of this position you will be required to work closely with your accounts in partnership to develop a category growth vision and strategy plan, you will influence the delivery through internal sales and marketing teams. You will be responsible for your accounts and developing a rolling 3 years category vision, driver and tactics whilst identifying and quantifying the drivers of category performance that support the growth strategies across the channel. As this is a lead role within the Category team due to the scale and importance of this account they are looking for someone ideally with Tesco experience already.

The successful Category Manager will have:
• Currently hold the position of, Category Manager, Category Development Manager, Category Executive or equivalent.
• Category management experience– within Tesco business which is very desirable
• Experience of planogram systems desirable
• Retail Link experience desirable
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Strong analytical & problem solving capability
• Experience of fast paced FMCG manufacturing and retail desirable
• Ideally be degree educated or equivalent
