PepsiCo are on the look-out for an enthusiastic Assistant Brand Manager to join our Snacks Marketing team working on Walkers Oven Baked, Crackers and Family Snacks. This role is based at our head office just outside of Reading, Berkshire.


Within this role you will get the opportunity to fuel the future of our snacks portfolio by growing our Oven Baked subrange. This is a great opportunity to fuel the future of UK's number 1 savoury snacking brand. Walkers Crackers and Oven Baked are 2 key sub brands to drive our future growth plans for Walkers. The successful candidate will be tasked to support the gold standard execution of the marketing program to drive the growth of our Oven Baked and Crackers portfolio. You will also take care of the Family Snacks portfolio with great legacy brands like Wotsits, Quavers & Monster Munch.

Accountabilities:

 

 

  • Support the execution of Walkers Baked & Walkers Crackers annual marketing programmes.
  • Lead gold standard execution of key calendar initiatives of your brands.
  • Day2day management of Walkers Family Snacks portfolio.
  • Lead, with support of Senior Brand Manager, commercialisation of small projects and be responsible for managing the Stage Gate process on these.
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, R&D, procurement, operations, finance to execute all product and packaging innovations.
  • Execute tracking and analysis of key brand activity and support Senior Brand Manager in identifying return on investment and learnings to be implemented.
  • Support team in providing periodic brand performance analysis, analysing sales data, consumer and market results.
  • Partner with Senior Brand Manager to execute new business and growth opportunities within Better For You and Family Snacking.

 

 

 


Key Skills and Experience:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Solid experience of working on an FMCG brand in Blue Chip Company;
  • Brand management experience (as an Assistant Brand Manager) especially in product / package development, product launch, shopper marketing, promotions;
  • Evidence of passion for and foundational knowledge of the marketing discipline in general and for consumer understanding and behaviour;
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills, good influencing skills. Ability to gain alignment cross-functionally and leverage resources to achieve results;
  • Strong analytical ability, e.g. to analyse data, develop insights, evaluate alternative approaches and make firm recommendations;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • A self-starter, able to work independently, takes ownership and responsibility;
  • Min a strong 2:1 degree and strong A level and GCSE level results;
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills.
