Job Details

Operating within this fast paced FMCG environment, as Head of Category Management you will be responsible for creating and driving the Category vision for the business. This business has seen a period of sustained growth with a number of the top retailers and they are now looking to capitalise on that growth with a robust Category and Insight function. With a hands on approach you will be responsible for leading, delivering and executing compelling insights in order to drive Category sales through a deep understanding of shoppers, consumers & customers. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will lead and develop a small team.

The Role:

  • Strategically plan, develop and execute a defined category vision for the business.
  • To be the Category Champion and drive the Category agenda across the business. 
  • Working collaboratively with sales team to deliver growth, whilst aligning with the category strategy.
  • Providing category insight to influence current and future direction.
  • Delivering the category fundamentals around space & merchandising targets.
  • Proactively managing strategic category partnerships.
  • Build and maintain key strategic senior level relationships with the retailers.

The Requirements:

  • Experienced Category Manager with experience at either Senior Category Manager or Head of level.
  • Educated to degree level or the equivalent.
  • Creation and delivery of a strategic marketing plan.
  • Proven track record of dealing with the Top 4 retailers.
  • Able to lead and motivate a team.
