Job Details

Paul Nyman Consultancy are currently recruiting an Interim Senior Business Unit Controller to manage a team of 10 across Grocery, convenience and wholesale.

The Business

This has allowed them to lead the way in first to market NPD and their ability to create innovative first to market solutions with their customers.

As part of a well recognised global food group, this division pride themselves on their unique mix of brand and own label which gives them the ability to have a unique interaction with the retailers in a highly competitive category synonymous with brands. 

The Role

Through further internal development and progression from within they now seek an established interim senior Business Unit Controller with the capability to hit the ground running. Through the management of a team 7 account managers you will pick up full strategic accountability for their largest customers spanning major grocery customers. Reporting to the Sales Director you will take on responsibility for driving through the strategic plan and supporting the team to deliver across an account base which makes up nearly 50% of total business revenue.

The Individual

Branded FMCG account management experience is an obvious must. You will also have significant exposure to the Top5 and have the tenacity and personality to not just manage, but lead and inspire a team with different strengths to deliver to their potential in this transitional phase during the businesses search for the right long term Business Unit Controller. Experience engaging with the retailer at the Trading Director level would also give you the strategic nous to step up and deliver at the top level. Given the day to day challenge of managing a top 5 customer, experience working with them would be a big must.

The Opportunity

They would be looking for someone to start ASAP and no later than June 2016. Day Rate will be reflective of experience and the length of contract would like be between 3 and 9 months (dependent on timescales to recruit the right person on a permenant basis).
