Global Key Account Manager - Food
Based Ellesmere Port + International Travel as required

In this high profile role – reporting at VP level and based within our Agricultural, Food & Life (AFL) division – you’ll work with assigned AFL Food clients, developing strategic and durable partnerships at a senior level, in order to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of large, diverse and/or complex projects on a global basis.
Covering our complete offering of inspection, testing, auditing and consultancy services, this will involve:
- Acting as a primary client liaison point in respect of existing programmes and designating sufficient resources/client teams to meet project/assignment requirements and fulfil our contractual obligations
- Managing the ongoing development and deployment of global co-operative agreements within the SGS network, with a view to providing creative and innovative solutions to AFL Food strategic clients
- Monitoring and managing all aspects of contract performance and service delivery in relation to client specific KPIs, whilst ensuring the alignment and integration of services in accordance with AFL standards
- Identifying and generating opportunities for revenue growth with assigned accounts, as well as providing support to AFL international Solutions Managers during the sales process and presentations
Capable of representing SGS at the highest level and with significant experience in a related project/contract management role – ideally including some practical involvement in consulting, auditing, regulatory or quality control activities – you should have:
- Degree in Business or equivalent
- A sound operational background and a proven track record in managing and coordinating multiple projects on a simultaneous basis in a fast paced and highly professional environment, working as a global service provider to key accounts in the consumer food business.
- Strong leadership and management capabilities, including the ability to interact with and influence others, including senior management representatives from within and outside the business
- Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship building skills, allied to a diplomatic yet assertive approach, coupled with a good degree of financial and analytical know-how
- A solutions led approach and a genuine focus on service delivery, coupled with a keen eye for detail and the necessary presence/gravitas to instill confidence in colleagues and clients alike
