Account Executive (Food service)

My client is a food manufacturing company with a wide range of premium products supplied to the food service industry, and food wholesalers. They are growing and looking to bring new talent into their business. They have an exciting new opportunity in their commercial team for an Account Executive.

The Role:

This position will play a significant part in the development of the business within UK food service sector. This is an office based national role, focused on identifying, opening and growing food service distributors and wholesalers. 

Key Responsibilities:

•    Develop business opportunities with both existing and new customers
•    Cold calling to develop new business
•    Attend customer visits, internal meetings, represent the Food service division at trade shows and customer events
•    Ensure that Production, Planning and Procurement are fully aware of all customer activity plans that affect volume demand 
•    Collect and maintain accurate up to date account, channel and competitor data 
•    Working cross functionally with NPD, Technical and Operations to assist New Product Development projects and samples

Candidate Requirements:

•    An existing Account Executive, Van or tele sales within the food industry who is looking to further their commercial career in a challenging and extremely dynamic environment would be preferred.
•    Enthusiastic and driven sales individual with an entrepreneurial and determined personality
•    Experience within a food service sales environment.
•    Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage

The Package:

•    £20,000 - £24,000 Basic
