About our Client:

We are looking for a Category Controller for a hugely exciting, high growth, FMCG start up business with massive financial backing.

This business are already posting their third year of double digit growth. With listings in the major multiples and independent customer base and a direct distribution model. The foundations are set to double turnover in 2 years in line with their 5 year growth strategy.

About the Role:

This role is a hybrid opportunity and not for the faint hearted, it is an all-encompassing strategic Category role as the key link between sales and marketing function. Candidates with strong category insights background, customer facing category management and a degree of Account Management is high on the list of priorities due to the strategic leadership position of the opportunity.

The business want to bring someone in with leadership qualities who they will back to build a team of 4-5 heads over the course of the next 18 months. Promotion to "Head of/Directorship" within a 2 year period is on the agenda for the right person.

About You:

  • Proven Category Management experience in FMCG across Grocery
  • Strong analytic insights credentials
  • Ideally degree educated
  • Data experience of all forms of consumer data, IRI, Kantar Dunhumby
  • Previous man management experience will be a distinct advantage
  • Customer Account Management experience in FMCG sales capacity
  • Drive to succeed and disrupt the market
  • Passionate about career development and want to accelerate
  • Able to cope with constant change and a flexible growing environment
