As suppliers of the leading brand in their key category arena, this business continues to set industry standards in product innovation brand performance terms.

The business has enjoyed double-digit growth for consecutive years and continues to reinvest profits to further strengthen support functions, marketing budget and innovation capability to maintain their position as the category leader.

Alongside their leading brands, the business also supplies a diverse portfolio of branded and private label products supplied predominantly to wholesale, cash and carry and retail customers.

As a result of internal succession planning, with the current incumbent progressing to a Controller level opportunity, the business is looking to recruit a new Field Sales / Key Account Manager to drive the performance of a portfolio of key accounts across their East Midlands / South East territory.

With full P&L accountability for the companies leading and most critical customer accounts, the role is responsible for driving sales and brand performance at Head Office level and further strengthening their position as the main category influencer.

Whilst driving performance and relationships at Head Office level, you will also be there to lead a team of 2 Area Sales Managers, responsible for driving promotional programs and in-store activity at local/store level.

It is therefore important that candidates are able to demonstrate the ability to manage P&L accountability and develop relationships at National / Key Account Manager level as well as focus, lead and inspire a team of 2 direct reports.

Candidates in field sales based roles, responsible for managing teams and/or managing key accounts will be considered as strong applicants for the role.  The role would also suit those in Key / National Account Manager roles at present and keen to gain man-management responsibility to further develop their career. 

Those from both branded and private label backgrounds will be considered, however exposure to branded portfolios at some point during your career will aid your application.

FMCG experience is key, but the business remains open minded about food and non-food applicants with both being welcomed for consideration.
