Meat Buyer - Progressive Company - South of England - £55k

My client is a very successful foodservice wholesale operation who are expanding their team with a meat buyer or senior meat buyer.

The Role

• Seeking out new suppliers to expand the wholesale/foodservice range
• Management of the buying process, ensuring that pricing, delivery and terms of business are all negotiated competitively
• Negotiating price and Ensuring appropriate stock control measures are in place
• Effective internal and external communication

The Candidate

•  A well established and experienced Buyer – ideally from the meat/ food industry
•  An expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, ERP/MRP systems
•  High level of commercial awareness
• An excellent communicator with strong presentation skills
