The Company

Hyperama plc are one of the leading importers and suppliers of Ethnic food in the UK. From small beginnings in Nottingham in 1976, the company now operates from 4 depots in the Midlands. The company is looking for two new Business Development Managers in Nottingham & West Bromwich to further build on the Chinese Restaurant and Fast Food customer base in-store.

The Role

  • Your principle role is to drive the sales and service for our Chinese customer base
  • You will be required to work from your portfolio of customers each month, to actively sell products to your customers and ensure they receive a great service.
  • You will also be required on to work on cold calls / lapsed customer calls and developing customer accounts, maintaining good relations with the customer.
  • You may also be required on occasion to support the operational team in tasks such as; merchandising, ensuring the section looks presentable, ensuring stock is available and so on.
     

The Person

The candidate will need to:

  • Have excellent customer service skills with an approachable manner
  • Have experience of working to targets and providing feedback to management following any comments/feedback from your customers to improve services.
  • Be self-motivated with strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Have a flexible approach to working patterns to meet the needs of the customer base
  • Have knowledge of the Chinese restaurant and fast food market with a basic product knowledge in the wholesale industry
  • Candidates must speak Cantonese and/or Mandarin
