We're delighted to offer the opportunity for an experienced Senior Brand Manager to join our International Division and lead global strategy, innovation and activation for a portfolio of Brands.
This is a key role in an exciting and fast growth business, with a unique opportunity to take some of the biggest, well known and best loved UK Brands and establish them in new overseas markets, such as US and Australia.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following aspects of the International Portfolio, both globally and for our key focus markets:
Data Insight and Analytics:
- On-going monitoring of key data gaps and addressing these in practical and cost efficient ways
- On-going analytics, turning data into valuable and actionable insights
- Ownership and delivery of Brand Health Checks and Performance reports
Positioning and Brand strategy (Consumer Focus):
- Homing in on pricing, product as well as occasion and need state gaps in the market
- Defining the source of volume (Consumers, Channels, Formats) for a sustainable business in each market
- Defining the Pricing, Portfolio and Channel Strategies
- Delivering a robust short and long term innovation pipeline aligned with Brand Strategy
- Developing a winning positioning which is true to the Brand and relevant for local Consumers
Winning with Retailers (Client Focus)
- Working with International Category Manager translate Brand Strategy into compelling category growth stories
- Working with Retailers tailor the Brand strategy to relevant activation programs
Activation:
- Lead marketing activation and excellence in the development of BTL and Digital/Online marketing and ATL in medium term
- Build the brand through high quality, creative and insight based advertising
- Build strong relationships and supervise external supplier’s (i.e., advertising agencies)
- Review and challenge the activation plan and make adjustments based on progress against goals
- Continue improving the marketing ROI by testing new comms and promotional mechanics
Brand Ambassador and Owner
- Build strong relationships based on trust, reliability and expertise within the International Team, with the UK business and with Distributors
- Relentless in finding new untapped revenue opportunities and galvanizing the International Team behind these
Minimum Requirements
- University degree with specialization in Marketing, International Business and/or Communication
- Outstanding marketer with proven experience in managing a cluster of markets and single market Brand ownership
- Experience in launching Brands into new markets, whilst not mandatory, would be considered a significant advantage
- Demonstrable record of market share growth within consumer products environments as a result of innovative, consumer centric programs
- Exposure to ATL and BTL with a good grounding and hands on experience in managing digital campaigns.
- Strong desire to make a business impact (consumer centric but commercially driven) and comfortable with working with limited supervision and setting own agenda across a wide range of projects.
- Strong influencing and reporting skills a cross multi-functional projects (Sales Teams, R&D, Supply etc.)
- A willingness to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and work across the entire marketing mix is essential and considered key success factor
- ROI focused, and comfortable with stretching budgets and looking for cost efficiencies in all activities
