Marketing Assistant

My client is a manufacturer of Branded and Own Label ambient products into the foodservice industry. They are seeking a bright, engaging and highly motivated individual to join their team based in Greater Manchester. This role would be suitable for a recent graduate who has 1-2 years marketing experience and has an interest in working in the food industry.  

The Role:

Market Research: Working with Marketing Manager to understand foodservice trends driving the customer, the overall foodservice market, and ultimately the business portfolio

Trade Marketing: Direct mail, Online, Marketing Communication, Trade Exhibitions

Marketing Budget: Ensure effective use of Marketing spends in conjunction with Marketing Manager

Product Information: Maintain product portfolio information including artwork and packaging detail

NPD: Support with Marketing Manager, NPD development and completion of projects through to launch with Commercial team and customers

The Candidate:

• Educated to graduate standard
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent planning, organisational, and written skills
• Excellent IT skill set including use of social media / digital
• Ability to work independently, self driven
• Team player with good interpersonal skills
• Strong presentation, communication and influencing skills
• Keen for new experiences, responsibility, and accountability
• Understanding of basic business concepts and ability to adapt to new business settings.
