Here at PepsiCo we are on the lookout for an Analytics Insights Manager for our Global Demand Sciences team. This role is based at our UK head office at Green Park, Reading, Berkshire.



In order to maximize the value and impact of the Insights function here at PepsiCo, we need to step-change the means and methods through which the function influences outcomes through serving as active decision change-agents and promoting decision sciences based on factual and objective information. One major effort in significantly improving the overall impact of the Insights function will be to leverage available and highly useful data within the organisation and complement it with new organic and derived data sources to drive better understanding of consumer and improve objective decision making.

The Analytics Insights Manager, Demand Science will serve as a critical member of the Advanced Analytics team to drive greater accessibility and utilization of Demand Sciences across the business. This will be accomplished through a multi-prong approach. First, the individual will partner with our IT function and other cross functional teams in efforts to improve the accessibility of the demand sciences through integration of disparate sources, greater automation and visualization. Second, the individual will work with the Director, Demand Capabilities in efforts to have oversight for the centre team to work across categories to continue to evolve demand science practices and help develop processes to integrate it into strategic decision making across sectors and categories.



This individual will be a combination of researcher and business consultant; someone with an inherent passion for researching and identifying new demand science techniques, but with a consultative bias towards action and implementation.

Accountabilities:

  • Partner on efforts to drive greater automation of the Demand Sciences to increase accessibility across the organization
  • Partner with our IT function to enable necessary systems and technology to access Demand Science information
  • Drive more efficiency in defining and calculating Media ROI and Forecasting to increase the overall effectiveness and efficiencies across the organization
  • Be an active team member of the Demand Science guild / community of practice to ensure to continuous rigor and advancement of the thinking
  • Provide support for demand sciences work within the Regions, ensuring it is in alignment with global initiatives and rigor
  • Partner with Regions in driving greater demand thinking and capabilities through assisting in the creation and delivery of demand training
  • Help drive the development of a data-driven decision-making culture

 

 

 


Experience Qualifications / Requirements:

 

 

 

  • Strong experience in market research/insights/analytics, competitive intelligence or other similar function with demonstrated ability to manage function in a complex environment with multiple constituencies.
  • Experience with Market Segmentation, Factor/Component Analysis, Choice Data Scaling (Ideal)
  • BA/BSc required (advanced degree in quantitative field strongly preferred)
  • Expertise in understanding consumer trends and behaviors
  • Strong system knowledge
  • Deep, broad and current consumer packaged goods experience
  • Highly analytical, motivated, decisive through leader with excellent managerial skills.
  • Strong understanding of current consumer packaged goods trends and best practices
  • Ability to influence and work through others to effectively navigate matrixed organization while ensuring that necessary stakeholders are informed
  • Strong communication skills that is able to educate and influence management and senior leaders to act in a desired manner through written and verbal communication.
  • Future-oriented thinker with expertise in external practices and trends
  • High level of analytical and negotiating skills as evidence by high intelligence, strong financial and analytical capabilities and the proven ability to develop, sell and drive suitable partnerships, alliances, or other transactions to closure
  • Demonstrates a sense of calmness under periods of uncertainty or change while dealing with stress in a manner that sets the necessary tone for the team and function
  • High character and integrity, is consistent and acts in line with a clear and visible set of values and beliefs
  • Global outlook with sensitivity and awareness of social and cultural differences
