Job Details

The Associate Manager of Demand Deployment is responsible for supporting the Demand Deployment Team (two Directors) by working with local global markets to ensure best practices are following in the study design, execution and analysis. The manager will also be involved in developing presentations and supporting workshops and training sessions. This is a global role international travel is required and flexibility to take calls with global insights partners.


As an organization, we are in the process of fundamentally evolving how the Insights function shapes the way PepsiCo understands, leverages and shapes behaviors and expectations. A significant part of this journey involves the advancement of the global Insights capabilities to meet the new and evolving needs and expectations based on how the organization functions and the availability of 21st century data sources. The function also needs to evolve in terms of how to drive greater objective and globally consistent decision-making practices through accessibility to new data, communicating information and thinking in a highly approachable and actionable format and driving new and differentiated thinking to provide unique insights into shopper behaviors and the specific activities we can do in innovation, marketing and sales and the actions of our retail partners to drive profitable behaviors.

One key differentiator in PepsiCo Insights journey is the Demand Science work that looks to standardize how PepsiCo views consumer behavior relative to a specific engagement expectation that weighs multiple elements for consideration. This individual will partner with the Sr. Director, Demand Deployment to play a critical role in driving the delivering the Demand Deployment agenda through direct partnership with the identified regions and project oversight. S / he will be tasked with driving and advancing the collective thinking and behaviors related to demand deployment through identification and sharing of best practices.

  • Project Manager, work with country managers and suppliers to oversee project details: sampling, questionnaire design, weighting, multivariate analysis, DS Segmentation), and frameworks
  • Track project progress and own document library to codify methodology and process
  • Become proficient (in house expert) on Tableau to train and create key cross tables and analysis to answer strategic questions and go deeper into Demand Spaces database
  • Support operationalization of demand thinking across the business (e.g., marketing, sales, innovation) to cultivate greater objective decision-making
  • Partners with the Sr. Director, Demand Deployment to deploy and execute the roll-out strategy for new Demand Science thinking and support material
  • Help lead cross-functional exercises to increase the organizational awareness and acceptance of the Demand Science thinking to improve the utility and value of the work
  • Partner with the learning community to roll-out training material to improve the capabilities and understanding of Demand Science across the global Insights community
  • Provides stewardship for Demand Science work within the Regions, ensuring it is in alignment with global agenda and rigor

 

 

 


Qualifications:

 

 

 

 

  • Experience leading a insights, market research/insights/analytics, competitive intelligence or other similar function with demonstrated ability to manage function in a complex environment with multiple constituencies
  • BA/BS required (Masters strongly preferred)
  • Passion for Demand Science to drive both the development and roll-out efforts
  • Strong ability to roll out a new thinking or capability and influence the thinking and behaviors of senior leaders
  • Highly analytical, motivated, decisive through leader with excellent managerial skills.
  • Deep, broad and current consumer packaged goods experience to be able to both identify and initiate appropriate partnership alliances and acquisitions
  • Able to influence and work through others to effectively navigate matrixed organization while ensuring that necessary stakeholders are informed
  • Strong communication skills that is able to educate and influence management and senior leaders to act in a desired manner through written and verbal communication.
  • Future-oriented thinker with expertise in external practices and trends to ensure the continued evolution the capability
  • Demonstrates a sense of calmness under periods of uncertainty or change while dealing with stress in a manner that sets the necessary tone for the team and function
  • High character and integrity, is consistent and acts in line with a clear and visible set of values and beliefs;
  • Global outlook with sensitivity and awareness of social and cultural differences
  • Requires global travel and interaction
  • Ability to influence and interact with senior leaders that may have varied agendas and points of view and define the global agenda
