The Role

We are looking for a National Account Manager to manage our Retailer Partners. The National Account Manager will develop, implement and drive strong commercial strategies in line with our Contract Manufacturing Retail partners objectives in order to drive mutually beneficial growth/profit for both businesses.

The National Account Manager will build, develop and maintain new and existing relationships with external Contract Manufacturing Retail partners.

In addition they will be responsible for the end to end delivery of new projects against budgeted volume and profit across all accounts.

Typical Day

  • Account management of allocated customers.
  • Responsible for recommending new projects, completing negotiations, developing business plans and ensuring delivery to agreed KPI’s.
  • Lead, motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Liaise and manage customer demand through internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for account performance including full trading P&L.
  • Develop customer specific strategies and tactics to deliver budgeted P&L.
  • Pro-actively develop a wide range of cross-functional contacts (internal and external) within accounts.
  • Negotiate all pricing, trading terms and capital investment.
  • Pro-actively identify and maximise new business opportunities.
  • Manage and co-ordinate internal process and procedures.
  • Report against agreed KPI’s.

About You

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of third party manufacturing or similar.
  • Proven track record in sales.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • A creative problem solver.
  • A self starter.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Numerate and analytical.
