The Company

My client is a market leader within the gift industry and have experienced significant growth over the last 12 months with an even more exciting year ahead. With the continued implementation of an extensive CRM marketing plan and they now have an opportunity for a confident marketer within the CRM team to manage the delivery of this activity. 

The ideal candidate will have CRM marketing experience preferably from a retail background. The role will also require good practical knowledge about general CRM/ email marketing principles.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Customer Retention, this role will focus on delivering key areas of the CRM marketing and communications plan against agreed metrics and budgets. Crucially, the role will help ensure that the CRM channel achieves the projects and set KPI targets identified for 2016 and beyond.

  • Manage the CRM contact strategy through the delivery of weekly newsletters and lifecycle communications in order to deliver incremental website visits, orders and revenue
  • Provide extensive CRM campaign reporting to improve content and frequency
  • Monitor CRM industry innovations and best practice to continually improve the CRM programme
  • Manage the CRM Executive to ensure all campaigns are built, approved, proofed and executed correctly, and to ensure CRM KPI’s are driven through all relevant channels
  • Work closely with the ESP on the behavioural/lifecycle communications through email and SMS to continually improve and review our automated communications to customers, along with identifying new campaign opportunities
  • Manage new ESP to ensure optimum service delivery
  • Manage data insight and analysis of customer behaviour to feed into future campaigns
  • Work with the Buying team to understand and implement their plans and campaigns in order to help meet their objectives utilising CRM assets where appropriate
  • Work closely with the Social and PR Managers to help implement all marketing campaigns cross channel using CRM assets where appropriate
  • Support Head of Customer Retention with brand partnership opportunities and development of new analytics tool
  • Support the international team with their CRM activity when required.
  • Manage adhoc projects ie. Loyalty programme, NPS, customer reviews

 

 

Requirements

  • 3-4 years’ experience working in a CRM role, preferably in retail or consumer marketing with a passion for engaging customers
  • Very data driven and have a sound understanding and interpretation of campaign data
  • Have a good technical CRM knowledge/background to develop a world leading CRM programme
  • Previous experience of managing multiple CRM campaigns through digital channels, including data planning, briefing, creative development, campaign execution and analysis
  • A good understanding of general marketing principles and channels with a focus on customer communications through digital communications channels
  • A good degree of commercial nous - with good numerical and analytic skills with an ability to analyse extensive data and commercially evaluate activity and complete results reports
  • Must be able to work within a team to support delivery of projects
  • Pragmatic and effective in problem analysis and able to identify alternatives to current thinking and to develop innovative solutions to problems
  • Excellent planning, organisational, written and communication skills
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with an email service provider tool is a must. Oracle Responsys would be desirable
  • SQL desirable
  • Comfortable using HTML
