A wholesaler of fresh produce is seeking a Buying professional to work in a support role, with the opportunity to develop to a full Buying post.

The Opportunity

Working in one of the largest and most varied areas of category spend, you will oversee the execution of an annual procurement plan. This will involve compiling availability and quality reports for both internal and external teams.

Using your existing knowledge of the fresh produce industry, you will track market trends, and identify opportunities to capitalise on matters of price and margin.

You can expect to speak regularly with growers, and help facilitate international logistics and transport coordination activity as necessary.

Gaining exposure to commercial negotiations, you will be involved in large tender exercises and rebate discussions.

To Interview

You will have experience working in the Fresh Produce industry in a Buying, Supply Chain or Commercial function. Spanish speakers will be preferred.

You will be capable of demonstrating a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills in written and spoken English, and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and similar reporting software.
