Job description

We are looking for a strategic Retail Development Manager to join our senior leadership team at Camelot.

The Retail Development Manager is responsible to develop, lead and deliver initiatives across the retail channel, which in turn will support growth.

How you'll make a difference 

You will responsible to develop, lead and deliver significant commercial initiatives across the organisation to continually improve the retail strategy, in line with the company 5 year strategy.

Support achievement of sales, profit and National Lottery Distribution Funds targets by leading the Retail Development Team to develop appropriate and effective retail and marketing plans, delivered by the National Accounts, Field Sales and Tele Sales Teams.

What you’ll bring to the table 

  • Proven track record of leading, coaching and developing sales teams, as well as delivering strong results through others.
  • Demonstrable strategic agility and ability to convert insight into strategies and plans for the channel, as well as executing those plans.
  • Strategic thought partner for Head of Retail Channel.
  • Leading significant commercial projects. 
  • Foster excellent cross departmental relationships to forge better future plans and resolve current issues. 
  • Ability to successfully communicate and influence at all levels.   
  • Ability to think and act independently to develop major enhancements to current and future ways of working. 
  • Highly proficient in use of current and future technological developments for retail.  
  • Experience of owning and managing large budgets.  
  • Previous experience of external agency management
