We are currently working with a very large and highly regarded business who supply non-perishable products into the foodservice and retail sectors. They currently have a requirement for a range of buyers within their Purchasing Team based at one of their Southern based offices. If you have 1-2 years experience or 10-15 years of procurement experience, ideally within the foodservice sector, then please don't hesitate to get in touch.

The Role

The responsibilities of the role will vary depending on the level of experience you have.
Generally, the roles will be required to negotiate with a range of suppliers from around the world.
Accompany the Sales Team on customer visits to ensure expectations are managed.
Managing the technical/legislation elements of the products that you are buying to ensure they comply with customer requirements.

The Candidate

Will have a number of years experience within either a food or food related sector supplying to major foodservice groups and distributors.
Will be a good communicator and be able to manage a range of product lines, coming from a number of locations around the world.
Will be driven to get the best deals possible, without compromising on quality.
