My client are a genuine innovator in the confectionary market whose ambition is matched only by the quality of their product portfolio. Their UK business has had a very successful year and as a result they are now looking to expand the National Accounts team with someone capable of growing relationships and driving the business growth agenda with some of their top accounts. With plans to invest further across the sales, category and marketing functions over the coming years; my client are looking for an ambitious and proactive individual ready to develop and grow with the business to become a leader of the future. If you are self-starting professional that is highly driven then this business would be an excellent next move.
The Role:
- The effective development of relationships with a defined customer base across the Impulse category – a thriving, fast paced business sector.
- Effective range portfolio management to optimise UK business plan.
- Effective team work within the direct sales team as well as cross functionally with the marketing and NPD teams where necessary.
- Negotiate joint business plans with key customers as well as drive new listings and develop new account partnerships.
- Delivery of defined commercial targets by customer by period by commercial KPI down to net profit level.
- Effective development and exploitation of wider networks within each customer - i.e. supply chain, store opps, trade marketing etc.
- Effective utilisation of KAD data within all selling and negotiations.
The Requirements:
- Educated to a degree level or equivalent is a pre-requisite.
- A minimum of 2 years FMCG experience is essential and ideally in a branded food business.
- Experience with customers in the Impulse sector would be a strong desirable – e.g. Nisa, Costcutter, Boots etc.
- Excellent analytical ability and presentational skills as well as customer facing experience.
- You must be hungry, ambitious and with real business acumen, with career progression a real driving factor as there is genuine scope to climb the ranks within the business.
- Enthusiasm and determination combined with a pragmatic approach to your work are essential traits for this person.
- Time management and strong organisational qualities are essential as you will work remotely a lot of the time.
