Introduction:

My client continues to grow and develop the UK market across both Retail and Foodservice and aligned with Group strategy we have been retained exclusively to recruit a Category Development role which will work closely with the UK Head of Sales, the UK Sales team, UK Technical Development Manager, Group Marketing, PR and Product Development in Denmark as well as international factories from a NPD project management perspective.

My client, Royal Greenland, is an iconic and premier frozen seafood business, well established and regarded in the UK amongst both Foodservice and grocery Retail multiples alike.

The Company:

The UK subsidiary of Royal Greenland, the major international seafood business (revenues c. £550m), offers a blend of own label and branded product and is recognised as a key player in the UK market. Royal Greenland are the world’s largest Cold Water Prawn supplier but also supply many other varieties of fish to countries around the world. The UK business has a strong collegiate culture with a team that is good fun, furthermore the parent company culture (HQ in Denmark) is also supportive and open.

Role Profile:

The successful candidate will be an experienced and well-rounded category management and marketing food industry professional used to NPD process and ideally with experience of both Foodservice and Retail customers (albeit Retail knowledge is likely to be more important than Foodservice, knowledge of which can be enhanced in the role).

You will therefore ideally be able to demonstrate the following:

•    Strong category management experience, including the use of Marketing data (e.g. AC Nielson)
•    Business acumen

All direct and third party applications will be forwarded to our retained advisors and no commercial consideration will be made for such unsolicited approaches.
